SKIN CONSULTATION

The Photographic Skin Scanner will allow your therapist to take digital photos under 3 different light spectrums to view underlying skin conditions that we aren’t able to see with the naked eye. This provides us with an in-depth assessment of the skin including conditions such as wrinkles, pigment, skin aging, large pore size, oil flow, UV damage, skin tone, sensitivity, acne and dehydration.

During this Skin Scanner consultation (allow up to 45 min), you will receive an exceptionally accurate diagnosis and prescription of appropriate homecare products, along with a treatment plan tailored to your individual skin conditions. We are then able to document your skin over the course of recommended treatments, allowing you to see the results for yourself!

Our peels consist of a potent blend of active vitamins, peptides, and antioxidants designed to target specific skin issues.

What should I expect after the peels?

Immediately after the treatment the skin will feel smooth to the touch and have a healthy glow. For our deeper penetrating peels you may experience a sensation similar to mild or moderate sunburn and a mild peeling.

When will I see results?

You will feel results immediately after the treatment. The skin will be smooth to the touch and have a healthy glow. We recommend a course of x3 peels when targeting specific concerns such as pigment or acne every 3-4 weeks.

Micro Needling

Skin needling (Dermal rolling) stimulates the production of your collagen to create smoother, healthier skin. It reduces acne scarring, stretch marks, fine lines, pigmentation, enlarged pores, blackheads and scarring.

Dermal Needling treatments use a roller with tiny needles to penetrate the upper layers of the skin. These can penetrate up to a depth of .5 - 3mm (determined by us) which causes thousands of punctures to the surface of the skin. This causes natural growth factors to be released, allowing nourishing customised active ingredients to be infused deep into the skin, stimulating new collagen deposition.

What does Dermal Needling do?

Dermal Needling stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin in the skin, refines pore size, may soften fine lines, reduces scarring, improves texture and radiance and improves appearance of stretch marks. Brown pigment may also be reduced. A course of three treatments is recommended to achieve optimal results. As individual results vary, sometimes more or less may be needed. Results may take 12 weeks to appear fully. Not all imperfections will be removed.

Who should not have Dermal Needling Treatment?

You should not have treatment if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, have active skin disorders in the area, are currently physically unwell, are planning UV exposure in the next two weeks or have had sun exposure in the last two weeks, prone to keloid scarring, are on Roaccutane. Caution is required for patients with darker skin types or a history of melasma or post-inflammatory pigmentation.

Are there any possible side effects?

Expect the area to be red and swollen, with a grazed appearance possible in some areas, similar to the look and feel of sunburn. This can last 1-4 days according to the sensitivity of your skin. You may notice tingling or stinging for 30-60 minutes afterwards. Skin may also flake off as new tissue regenerates from around 3-5 days. Post-inflammatory pigmentation (brown discoloration) is possible in darker skin types, especially if UV exposure is not avoided after treatment. Some people may experience some temporary side effects such as: discomfort, feeling of tightness. Post treatment infection is a rare possibility.

What should I do after my treatment?

Do not touch your skin for the first hour after treatment as the skin is open and you will risk causing infection. Avoid active skincare products for 3-4 days after treatment. Use the skin products recommended by your treating therapist. Protecting your skin from UV exposure with sunscreen is particularly important. No excessive exercise, including swimming for 12-24 hours after treatment. You may wear makeup to cover any bruises or redness the day following treatment.

Cancellation Policy

As a client of New Vision Hair and Day Spa it is important to us that you to get the premium times and dates you request. This is why we reserve your future appointments especially for you. We understand that sometimes adjustments and cancellations are necessary, but we ask you to appreciate that when you cancel or reschedule an appointment without sufficient notice, the clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive our services and we miss the opportunity to fill that time.

We understand that life doesn’t always go to plan therefore, we kindly ask that you give us no less than 24 hours notice (48 hours during December) to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a charge of 15% of the scheduled service amount, this will be added to your next service.

NO SHOWS:

If you are a ‘no show’ meaning you do not show up for your appointment and do not tell us, you will be required to pay 15% of the scheduled service you were booked in for and his will be charged to your next appointment. If you do not wish to pay the cancellation fee, you will not be rebooked.

YOUR APPOINTMENT:

Please arrive to your appointment on time. If you are 15 minutes late or more, you may be required to book a new appointment day and time as it can interfere with the following clients appointment.
